This collection contains a ledger of meeting minutes and miscellaneous papers related to the San Diego Fabian Society.
Background
The San Diego Fabian Society was organized in April 1895. At an April lecture by Lawrence Grondlund, a meeting was called
to draft a constitution and bylaws which were subsequently voted on and approved at the meeting of April 20. Their intention
was “the studying of sociology, elevating humanity and bringing it to a more perfect understanding of its universal brotherhood
and solidarity; and for the propaganda of socialistic ideas.”
