From Southern Pacific Railroad, New York Collection.

Biography/Administrative History

Incorporated October 13, 1905; 91.20 miles from Hillsboro to Tillamook, Oregon. Construction was started in November, 1905 and completed June 30, 1911. The Southern Pacific Company acquired an interest in 1906, assumed control on June 5, 1909 and purchased it on July 1, 1915. Scope and Content of Collection

Financial records generated during the construction of the Pacific Railway & Navigation Company include cash books, construction accounts, contracts, agreements, insurance and mail accounts.
