The Pennington Family Papers consist of correspondence to Louis and Jane Pennington in San Diego from Louis' mother in Oroville, California, and Jane's
mother and sister in Charleston, South Carolina. The materials include letters, Christmas cards, a birthday card, and one
photograph. There are a few undated letters at the back which are written to Jane from her mother. The majority of the letters
are written from Louis' mother and regard mostly family matters.
Louis and Jane Pennington lived in San Diego, California, each having moved from Northern California and Charleston respectively.
The copyright interests in these materials have not been transferred to San Diego State University. Copyright resides with
the creators of materials contained in the collection or their heirs. The nature of historical archival and manuscript collections
is such that copyright status may be difficult or even impossible to determine. Requests for permission to publish must be
