    Scope and Content of Collection

    Civil engineer's field notebook from the Northern Pacific Railroad's Yellowstone Division. The book is inscribed by J.F. Williamson, a roadmaster for the Northern Pacific. It contains circulars, printed information and typewritten notes on track, switches, ties, flagging procedures for work crews, engineering department regulations, schedules and rates of pay.
