Scope and Content of Collection
Records of the Athletics Club contains documents collected and created by the Cal Poly Athletics department. Records include
statistics reports; promotional programs, media guides, and press releases; team rosters and player files; newspaper clippings;
and materials related to the 1960 plane crash involving the Cal Poly football team. Both male and female sports teams are
represented including football, baseball, basketball, soccer, gold, gymnastics, swimming, track and field, wrestling, and
sailing as well as the Association for Intercollegiate Athletics for Women and the NCAA. Administrative and budgetary records,
records related to the stadium construction, records related to Title IX, and correspondence of the dean of the department
