    Biographical/Historical note

    Henri Temianka was a violinist and conductor who founded the Paganini String Quartet and the California Chamber Symphony Orchestra among his many other accomplishments. In addition, Temianka taught at the University of California at Santa Barbara from 1960 to 1964 and at California State University at Long Beach from 1964 to 1976.

    Scope and Contents note

    This collection contains 107 pieces of sheet music, 49 mini scores and 107 books, from the personal collection of Henri Temianka. Most of this material is dedicated to classical music, with focus on the violin, viola and various wind instruments. Other topics include opera, chamber music and ancient instruments.
