Scope and Contents
The Objects collection contains a variety of things from a variety of sources. Although there is no unifying principle, a
great number of the objects relate to printmaking and book arts. These include movable type from 14th-century Korea, Braille
printing plates, and some six dozen printing blocks, mostly wooden. There are also a large number of toys, dolls, and figurines,
including more than fifty different Pinocchios. There are also several examples of cinematic and proto-cinematic apparatus,
such as peep shows, praxinoscope images, and a projector bulb. Additionally, the collection contains a plethora of other items,
including money from across the globe, miniature books, holiday greeting cards, weapons, and Swiss Christmas cookies.
