Removed from the cabin of the sloop yacht KATHLEEN (SAFR 22781) in 2012.

Historical or Biographical Note

The sloop yacht KATHLEEN was built by Salvatore Pasquinucci in 1904. Her first owner was Frank Raymond, a member of the Corinthian Yacht Club. The Smith family of Mill Valley, California, donated KATHLEEN to San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park in 2011.

Collection Scope and Content

The Kathleen (built 1904; sloop: yacht) photograph, 1912-1915, (SAFR 24659, P16-001) is comprised of a photograph of KATHLEEN underway on San Francisco Bay, California. The collection has been processed to the Collection level and is open for use.
Contains 1 black-and-white photographic print in a 12 x 15 in. frame of KATHLEEN (built 1904; sloop: yacht) under sail, nearly port broadside view, in the San Francisco Bay Area, California, 1912-1915. A Corinthian Yacht Club burgee is on the mast and a flag with "1915" on it is on the end of the gaff. The number "9" is attached to the mainsail. An unidentified sloop yacht is underway in the left background.
