photographs, awards and audiovisual materials.
Background
Katherine V. Forrest is a pioneering lesbian writer, novelist, editor and literary critic. Her character Kate Delafield is
considered the first lesbian police detective in the murder mystery genre and "Curious Wine," the best-selling lesbian mystery.
She has also written the award-winning science fiction series "Daughters of a Coral Dawn" and edited several lesbian and gay
anthologies. She has edited the work of many writers, written many book reviews, and promoted gay and lesbian literature through
her long involvement with the Lambda Literary Foundation. She is the recipient of numerous awards, including the Lambda Literary
Foundation's prestigious Pioneer Award in 1988.
