    Abstract: Material related to the Legacy Project, a project founded by Jerry Burchfield in the spring of 2002 to document the El Toro Marine Corps Air Station in Orange County, California and its subsequent transformation into the Orange County Great Park. Includes over 50,000 mostly digital photographs in RAW and JPG format, 1000 slides/transparencies, ephemera, books and maps, digital video, meeting agendas and minutes, project records including contracts, and emails (converted to PDF format).

    The collection has not been processed but, excepting digital content, is open for research. Digital files may require additional pre-processing before being made available. Access to original audio tapes, audio reels, video recordings, floppy discs and other digital media are restricted; researchers may request listening or viewing copies.
