Scope and Content of Collection

This collection consists of Philip Richardson’s 1997 interviews with a dozen gay men who were veterans of WWII; a copy of the raw data interview sheets for most of the subjects in his study; and a copy of his unpublished paper, “Queer Self Awareness and Public Acceptance.” Interviewees are Jim Glyer, Jack Pellizari, Tom Caldwell, Carson Smith, Arthur Hussey, Peter Hutchins, Gary Gatham, EB Baker, Albert Olsen, Francis McIntire and Jim Lanham.
