Biographical / Historical
The UCLA Teacher Education Program (TEP) began within Center X in 1994, as an intensive two-year program leading to state
certification and a master's degree. Its aim is to promote social justice in public education by preparing teachers for placement
in low income schools in California, and Los Angeles in particular.
Scope and Contents
Record Series 771 contains the administrative files of the UCLA Teacher Education Program. This includes reports, forms,
correspondence, handbooks, manuals, and documentation of meetings, conferences, and events.
