Background
LADY WASHINGTON (built 1989; brig) is the Official Ship of the State of Washington. Launched on March 7, 1989, LADY WASHINGTON was built in Aberdeen, Washington, by the Grays Harbor Historical Seaport Authority. She is a replica of the original LADY WASHINGTON, the first American vessel to make landfall on the west coast of North America as well as the first American vessel to visit Honolulu, Hong Kong and Japan.
