Abstract: Orange County District Attorney’s Obscenity and the Law Collection was founded in 1971 through the efforts of then English Department professor Donald Sears (now deceased) and his late wife Orange County A.D.A. and later Judge Oretta Sears. The materials are published pornographic works that were evidence/exhibits in at least one Orange County obscenity legal action.
