Description
The P.J. Farrell World War I Photograph
Album documents the experiences of American nurses and soldiers during World War I. The
majority of photos were taken at Camp Albert Mills on Long Island and on the home front more
generally during World War I, though at least one was taken in Germany and features a solder
in a German uniform and helmet. Most images feature nurses and soldiers in uniform posed
outside hospitals, tents, houses, and other structures, though a few include children,
adults in bathing costumes, and others in civilian attire.
