Philip Dunne (1908-1992) was born in New York. He was a writer, director, producer, and political
speech writer who was twice nominated for his screenplays for HOW GREEN WAS MY VALLEY (1941) and DAVID
AND BATHSHEBA (1951). Amanda Dunne (1914-2006) was born Amanda Duff in Fresno, California. She was an
actress who married Philip Dunne in 1939.
