    Biography / Administrative History

    Edith E. Moore graduated from Pomona College in 1926 with a major in social economics. Her son C. Raymond Fowler also attended Pomona College, graduating in 1950. Fowler would go on to earn his master's degree in theology and served for a time as assistant minister of the Claremont Church, now Claremont United Church of Christ. He married fellow Pomona College alumna Barbara Blakely ('52).

    Scope and Contents of the Collection

    The Moore-Fowler Collection of Pomoniana contains materials belonging to Edith E. Moore ('26) and her son C. Raymond Fowler ('50). Materials belonging to Edith Moore include programs for college events such as football games, Fraternity Day, theater and concert events on campus, and other assorted event ephemera. A collection of student portrait photographs and campus postcards are included along with programs and other items related to off-campus trips to Grauman's Egyptian Theater, The Playhouse at the Friday Morning Club Building, and Morosco Theatre in Los Angeles, as well as the Mission Inn in Riverside. Materials belonging to C. Raymond Fowler include meeting minutes of the class officers of the Pericleans Class of 1950 from 1946-1950 and a Class of 1950 newsletter. Also included in the collection are materials and photographs related to the Class of 1950 reunions in 1990, 1995, and 2000, along with materials related to the Class of 1952's 50th reunion event.
