Abstract: The collection consists of 200 photographs of notable science fiction and fantasy figures taken by John L. Coker III during
the late 1980s and early 1990s. The photographs, taken mostly at various conventions, have also all been matted and signed
by the subjects of the photographs.

Biographical Note
John L. Coker III is a photographer, author, reporter, editor, publisher, and science fiction fan. His photographs and articles
have regularly appeared in publications like
Scientifiction,
Tangent,
LOCUS, and
SF Chronicle, and he has edited multiple works on various science fiction authors and science fiction fandom. He was a founding member
of the First Fandom Experience, and currently serves as the President of First Fandom.
Collection Scope and Contents
The collection consists of 200 photographs of notable science fiction and fantasy figures taken by John L. Coker III during
the late 1980s and early 1990s. The photographs, taken mostly at various conventions, have also all been matted and signed
by the subjects of the photographs.
