serving in Asiatic-Pacific Theatre in New Guinea and Morotai Island in Indonesia. Yamane was a Japanese interrogator for the
Military Intelligence Service in the Asiatic-Pacific Theatre.
This collection contains 94 digital surrogates of photographs documenting Tatsuo Yamane's MIS training and his military time
serving in Asiatic-Pacific Theatre in New Guinea and Morotai Island in Indonesia. Yamane was a Japanese interrogator for the
Military Intelligence Service in the Asiatic-Pacific Theatre.
The photographs are all black and white and portray Japanese American soldiers as well as scenery and buildings in the Asiatic-Pacific
Theatre.

Tatsuo Yamane was born in Hawaii and attended grammar school in Japan, where he acquired excellent Japanese reading and writing
skills. He later finished his high school education in Fresno, California. During his military service he was a Japanese interrogator
for the Military Intelligence Service.
Yamane served in the Asiatic-Pacific Theatre in New Guinea and Morotai Island in Indonesia.
