Description
The Hans Burkhardt Collection consists of items produced by or related to the artist Hans Burkhardt, including multiple exhibition posters, an article on a 1975 Burkhardt exhibit held at CSUN, and an original linoleum print by Burkhardt.
Background
Hans Gustav Burkhardt was a Swiss American abstract expressionist artist who lived and worked in Los Angeles from the late 1930s to 1994. He also taught at California State University Northridge, retiring as a professor emeritus.
