This collection comprises the papers of Georges Van Den Abbeele, Professor of Comparative Literature and English, and Dean Emeritus of the University of California, Irvine School of Humanities from 2013-2018. The papers include materials pertaining to Van Den Abbeele's scholarship, particularly on Jean-François Lyotard. There is one manuscript "The Lyotard Reader and Guide", notes about Lyotard and Jacques Derrida, 1 audiocassette possibly containing a recording of Lyotard, and a four page paper entitled "Le Solo Funebre de J.F. Lyotard".
