Biographical note

Norman Hughes was a professor of biology at Pepperdine University, and the Academic Dean of Seaver College during the late 1970s. He was also one of the professors responsible for founding the Great Books Colloquium at Seaver College.

The collection consists of subject files from Norman Hughes' office containing memorandums, correspondence, reports, and notes. Subjects in the collection include academic councils and committees, campus facilities, faculty issues, student issues, course schedules, and academic departments within Seaver College. Materials in the collection span from 1972 to 1981.
