Collection contains Latin and Italian manuscript herbal on paper, Italy, circa 1700. Written in brown ink, with 118 ink and
watercolor illustrations, with occasional specimen dried leaves or petals affixed. Four engravings (or parts of engravings)
of people in period dress gathering herbs, pasted onto the first few leaves, have been colored and extended by the same hand
as the body of the work. Two decorative cartouches left empty. Index, in second hand, added on upper endleaves. Contemporary
cartonnage, spine stitched; paper shelf label on spine. "Erbe" inked on lower edge of text block.
