The officer was stationed at NAS Miramar flying various patrol aircraft types during the late forties and was assigned to VP-4 in 1948 during that squadron’s important mapping operations of Alaska. While assigned to the carrier USS Kearsarge from 1957 to 1958 he photographed flight operations.
