Memoirs, printed matter, and photographs, relating to Polish military activities during World War II.
In his memoirs Kroczak recalls his childhood in a village south of the city of Lwow (now Lviv), his fight against invading
German and Soviet forces in September 1939, and his subsequent imprisonment and hard labor in the north of Russia. He goes
on to detail his release from the GULAG in the summer of 1941, when the Soviets joined the Allies against the Germans, and
his life in the newly formed Polish units evacuated from the USSR via the Middle East to fight the Germans in Italy.
