Biographical note

Japanese social activist and philosopher. Okamoto Rikichi established Kigyō Rikken Kyōkai in 1919 and Shōhisha Kumiai Kamedo Kyōdōsha, consumers' cooperative in Kamedo, which developed into Kantō Shōhisha Kumiai (Kantō Consumers' cooperative). He advocated for return to farming and Shintoism.
