    Alfred James McClatchie (1861-1906) was an American agriculturalist and horticulturalist. McClatchie taught biology at Throop Polytechnic Institute in Pasadena from about 1892 to at least 1896. McClatchie published many books on botany, but none with the exact title "Our Native Flora."
