Background

Scope and content:

Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer founded MGM Television (MGM-TV) in 1955. This collection consists of scripts from television productions created from 1955-1982, when MGM-TV merged with United Artists to form MGM/UA Television in 1981.

10 boxes in the inventory are missing. Boxes 37, 38, 47, 49, 61, 146, 147, 155, 213, and 214. Consult with the head archivist for further information.

A portion of materials have experienced water damage at some point during storage. Rehousing is ongoing

Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (1942) founded MGM Television (MGM-TV) in 1955. In 1981 MGM-TV merged with United Artists to form MGM/UA Television.
