Abstract: This collection consists of reader surveys from two H.A.F. publications, "Girlfriends" and "On Our Backs." There are two types
of surveys: one asks readers to offer their opinion about the magazines; the other is a lesbian sex survey, which provides
insight into sexual behavior and sexual and gender identity. A small amount of demographic data about "Girlfriends" readership
compiled from the surveys is included. The lesbian sex surveys from 2001 and 2003 comprise the bulk of the collection. Some
surveys about "Girlfriends" are restricted because they contain names and addresses of respondents.

Collection is open for research. Mailing lists and other records holding the names, addresses, and/or phone numbers of individuals
will be restricted for 20 years.
