Description
Les Sipes was a reporter and photographer for the Oakland Tribune and covered the Contra Costa beat from the 1940s to the 1950s. He and former Contra Costa County Supervisor, Warren Boggess, flew the “Traffic” route daily. Included in the collection donated by Jacquie Laudregon Sipes are photographs, negatives, slides, and news clippings, totaling over 15,000 articles. The news clippings add to the Center’s collection in a time period that augments newspapers not already in the collection.
