Description
This is a typed copy of United States General Order 13, issued by order of Brigadier General Crook on July 14, 1884 from the Whipple Barracks in Prescott, Headquarters Department of Arizona, regarding the performance of Captain Emmet Crawford, Third Cavalry, in his military duties in connection with affairs at the San Carlos Indian Agency. The order was prepared by M. Barber, Assistant Adjutant General. The manuscript is not dated.
Background
Emmet Crawford (1844 December 22 – 1886 January 18) was an American soldier who rose through the ranks to become an officer. He was most noted for his time spent in the Arizona Territory under General George Crook in the United States Cavalry.
