Description
This collection contains 2 manuscripts and 4 scrapbooks from the Imperial Valley Cactus and Succulent Society from 1961-1985. Each scrapbook contains documents from the society including minutes of each meeting, memberships, and bylaws organized by date. Ephemera materials are also included which are significant to the society.
Background
Juanita Heil and her daughter Nancy Heil were significant figures in the society. They held positions in the society such as president, vice president, and secretary throughout the duration of its existence. Other people mentioned throughout the scrapbooks are Kirby Patton, Mrs. Jane Harris, and Dave and Kathe Roberts.
