    Scope and Content

    Eighteen newsprint handbills from the Searchlight Theater in Seattle, Washington of Edison short subjects from the late 1890s to the early 1900s (approximately 1895-1901). Two addresses are listed for the theater, 744 Pacific Ave (in the Donnelly Hotel) and 1305 1/2 2nd Ave.
    Most handbills list 8-15 short subjects, however, two are topical, one featuring "War Pictures" and Queen Victoria's funeral.
