Challah for Hunger (CfH) began at Scripps College in 2004. The Stanford University chapter, begun in 2009, holds weekly events
at which members of the Stanford community bake challah bread together. The loaves are then sold to the Stanford community
and the proceeds from these sales go to both local and international humanitarian aid-based charities. In addition to weekly
bakes, Challah for Hunger holds regular advocacy events such as hosting educational speakers, holding community discussion
forums, and participating in local hunger and educational outreach. Challah for Hunger is sponsored by the Stanford University
Jewish Student Association.
