Sister: Los Angeles Feminist News, this newspaper was published as an open forum "to communicate news, activities, and ideas of the Women's Movement" in Los
Angeles, CA.
Sister was first published circa 1970 and ran until circa 1978. Beginning in 1976 or 1977, the newspaper was published out of North
Hollywood by an issuing agency under the name of "Sister." This collection consists of seven issues of the newspaper ranging
from August of 1973 (vol. IV, no. 6) to March of 1978 (vol. IX, no. 1). The majority of issues in this collection were published
under the title
Sister: West Coast Feminist Newspaper.
