    Abstract: Originally published by the Women's Center (218 South Venice Boulevard, Venice, CA) as Sister and later titled Sister: West Coast Feminist Newspaper or Sister: Los Angeles Feminist News, this newspaper was published as an open forum "to communicate news, activities, and ideas of the Women's Movement" in Los Angeles, CA. Sister was first published circa 1970 and ran until circa 1978. Beginning in 1976 or 1977, the newspaper was published out of North Hollywood by an issuing agency under the name of "Sister." This collection consists of seven issues of the newspaper ranging from August of 1973 (vol. IV, no. 6) to March of 1978 (vol. IX, no. 1). The majority of issues in this collection were published under the title Sister: West Coast Feminist Newspaper.

    Seven issues of Sister: West Coast Feminist Newspaper, also titled Sister: Los Angeles Feminist News or just Sister -- published in Los Angeles, CA, in the 1970s. This collection consists of seven issues of the newspaper ranging from August of 1973 (vol. IV, no. 6) to March of 1978 (vol. IX, no. 1). The majority of issues in this collection were published under the title Sister: West Coast Feminist Newspaper.
