Description
Family photograph collection from Jeanette Wade Wildhofer and Paul H. Wildhofer of Campbell, California, documenting the extended Wade family and Hungarian Wildhofer family.
Background
The collection belonged to Jeanette E. Wildhofer (nee Wade) (1911-1996) and her husband Paul H. Wildhofer (d. 1980), who lived on Cambrian Drive in Campbell, California. Jeanette was the daughter of Walter A. Wade and Loretta Irene Edwards, and a descendant of Charles Elliot Wade and Maria Estefana Alviso Wade. She taught at Orchard School in San Jose for 37 years (1934-1971). Wildhofer, born in Gyor, Hungary, came to the U.S. to study at San Jose State University, and later worked for the California State Department of Human Resources.
