Biographical Note
Rabbi Aaron Gold served pulpits from New York to Las Vegas and was well known for his interfaith and marriage counseling work.
From 1974-1992, while Rabbi at Tifereth Israel Synagogue, he oversaw their move from North Park to San Carlos. In San Diego
County he also served Ner Tamid Synagogue in Poway and Temple Beth Shalom in Chula Vista.
Scope and Contents
This collection includes biographical information, photos, newspaper clippings, religious services, sermons & addresses, articles,
eulogies, dedication and event booklets, primarily from the congregations he served in San Diego County. There is also material
from the various congregations he served in Wisconsin, New York, Pennsylvania, Nevada and California.

Custodial History
Jeanne Gold donated her late husband's collection in 2018 (JHSSD #2018.02). It spans his entire rabbinical career, but the
focus is mainly on congregations he served in San Diego County, including almost twenty years at Tifereth Israel Synagogue
in the San Carlos neighborhood of San Diego.
