"Common Sense" was a newspaper that was founded by Conde McGinley in 1946. Originally titled "Think Weekly", McGinley changed
the name to "Common Sense" in June 1947. The first issues focused on anti-communist topics, but later changed its focus to
anti-semitism. "Common Sense" was issued semi-monthly and ran from June 1947-June 1972.

This sub-series contains magazine issues, reviews, and reprints published by the John Birch Society. Included are issues of
the "John Birch Society Bulletin" and "American Opinion", as well as other publications. The John Birch Society was founded
in Indianapolis, Indiana by Robert Welch Jr., a retired candy manufacturer in 1958. The Society, whose main purpose is to
combat communism, was named after John Birch, an American Baptist missionary and United States Army Intelligence Officer who
was killed by communist forces in China in August 1945.
