    Scope and Contents

This collection contains 42 letters from George Hall to Lorraine Natzke, written between May 1943 and August 1945. The letters are largely lighthearted, focusing on the kindess "Lorry" showed to George by writing him and sending care packages. Of particular note are Hall's descriptions of the several countries he was stationed in, inlcuding North Africa, Italy, and Germany.
Also included in the collection are printouts of World War Two statistics, and V.A. documents detailing an effort by Albert Silvernail (presumably the son or father of Lorraine Natzke Silvernail) to locate George Hall in 1978, in order to return some personal property of his.
