Background
Claire Windsor (1892-1972) was an American actress during the silent film era. She was discovered by Lois Weber, a highly
regarded female director and producer of silent films for Paramount Pictures. Windsor was one of the Western Association of
Motion Picture Advertisers (WAMPAS) year's most promising starlets in 1922. Windsor's success only lasted during the silent
film era however, as she had few and smaller roles after then.
