Loewen (b. 1945 – ) worked as Fuller Seminary’s Dean of the School of Theology from 2001 – 2014, and since then, has been a senior member of the Center for Advance Theological Studies (CATS) faculty as a senior professor of theology and ethics. The Howard J. Loewen Papers contains correspondence; newspaper and magazine clippings; research notes; manuscript drafts and publications; sermons; course teaching material; conference notes; and ephemera used within Loewen’s professional career. Topics include violence or non-violence; theology; Karl Barth; and the Anabaptist and Mennonite denominations. Dates range from circa 1960s – 2017.
