    Abstract: The collection consists of clippings, photographs and photograph albums, legal documents and correspondence, created by and about various members of the Doheny family, including Lucy Estelle Doheny and her husband, Van Cott Niven; and legal documents, including copies of Lucy Estelle Doheny's birth certificate (box 1). Also included are color photographs of the Doheny chapel in Camarillo; photographs of various members of the Doheny family, including Ned Doheny; a copy of the New York Herald Tribune from 1892 (box 2); and many photographs and albums of the Doheny home on Chester Place (boxes 3-12); the Doheny home at 15 E. 84th Street in New York City (box 13); Doheny Memorial Library, including two albums documenting exhibitions held in the Treasure Room (boxes 14-17); and a scrapbook documenting the travels of the S.Y. Casiana to Alaska in 1922, and a view of the Doheny's private train car (box 18).

    Scope and Contents

    The collection consists of clippings, photographs and photograph albums, legal documents and correspondence, created by and about various members of the Doheny family, including Lucy Estelle Doheny and her husband, Van Cott Niven; and legal documents, including copies of Lucy Estelle Doheny's birth certificate (box 1).
