Description
Collection consists of poet and playwright Alfonsina Storni's published books of poems, newspaper clippings, and other publications written about her life and work.
Background
Alfonsina Storni (1892-1938) was an Argentine poet and playwright known for success in the male-dominated modernist and avant-garde movements. While best known for her poetic works, Storni also wrote prose, journalistic essays, drama, and social criticisms. She often wrote about gender roles and discrimination against women.
