Arrangement of Materials:
The collection is organized into seven series based on the different mediums humankind has used to capture and convey information
throughout time. Within each series the organizaiton of the materials is based on when the repository aquired the materials
(so the most recent aquisition is at the end of the series).
Scope and Contents
An artificial collection created by the Sutro Library staff in 2017 that allows students to have a hands on experience with
various formats and artifacts that embody the transmission of information throughout time. The samples in this collection
are not from the Sutro Library’s historic collections; rather, they were bought specifically for the purpose of allowing intensive
hands on use for teaching and learning.
