the importance of writing in the larger community." The program, founded in 2004 as an expansion of the UC Davis Campus Writing
Center, offers discipline-specific writing classes for undergraduates and workshops for graduate students as well as an undergraduate
minor in writing and a graduate-level interdisciplinary emphasis in Writing, Rhetoric, and Composition Studies. It is the
administrative home of Writing on the Edge, a journal on writing and teaching of writing, and Prized Writing, which publishes juried undergraduate writing.
