Collection Scope and Content

The Tugboat towing a two-masted schooner photograph, 1880-1930, (SAFR 24647, P15-020) is comprised of an unidentified tugboat towing a two-masted schooner near an unidentified shoreline. The collection has been processed to the Collection level and is open for use.
Consists of 1 black-and-white photographic print, 3.5 x 5 in., showing a port broadside view of an unidentified two-masted schooner under tow of a tugboat as seen from a beach, 1880-1930. The schooner's foresail is set.
The photographic print was found with a hand-written note in pencil and pen that reads, "Tell Plapp that pic is the Brooklyn towing the Willie R. Hume." However, WILLIE R. HUME was a four-masted vessel, not a two-masted.
