Scope and Content of Collection

Collection contains photographs and negatives of parades, coronations and drag events, parties and other activities of Ribinski's circle of friends. Events include Gay Pride parades, the Castro Street Fair, the Folsom Street Fair, Minsky’s Show at the California Hall, the Lesbian and Gay March before the 1984 Democratic Convention and coronation and investiture events. There are numerous self portraits and group photos including John R. Ribinski’s drag persona, Linda Bonita. Named people in the photographs include: List of names mentioned on photo backs: Miss X, Valerie Richards Chucky, Don Black, Linda Gladis Bumps, Jack Fertie and Mike Andrewez, Mike Sards, Bruce Mack, Miss Micky La Chucka.
