Abstract: The Richard D. Davis seaman's papers (SAFR 17846, HDC 393) is a collection of sixty-one certificates of discharge; one letter
of commendation from President Harry Truman; one Certificate of Substantially Continuous Service in the U.S. Merchant Marine;
and one withdraw card from the National Marine Engineers' Beneficial Association. The collection is available for research
use without restriction.
