Description
This small collection contains materials related to the career of fashion designer and photographer Bill Bowers. Bowers designed
clothes for rocker Alice Cooper, and was a member of the Cockettes, Angels of Light and the Mukluk family commune. He has
documented gay pride parades, Folsom, Dore Alley, Castro and other street fairs, bars, leather events, the Sisters of Perpetual
Indulgence and the Imperial Court since the mid-1970s.
