    Abstract: This collection contains photographs, student publications, scrapbooks, and ephemera from Everett Junior High School. Also included are some handbooks, documents, and other works. Of note are several sets of layouts for the Everett Echo, a hybrid newsletter with yearbook qualities.

    Conditions Governing Access

    The collection is available for use during San Francisco History Center hours, with photographs available during Photo Desk hours. Collections that are stored offsite should be requested 48 hours in advance.

    Publication Rights

    All requests for permission to publish or quote from manuscripts must be submitted in writing to the City Archivist. Permission for publication is given on behalf of the San Francisco Public Library as the owner of the physical items.

    Provenance

    The Everett Junior High School Records were transferred to the San Francisco Public Library from Everett Junior High School in 2011.

    Conservation Note

    During processing, the entire collection was re-foldered and re-housed in acid-free folders and boxes. Some metal staples and adhesive tape remain.

    Materials Transferred

    1 folder of oversize panoramic photographs have been transferred to the San Francisco Historical Photograph Collection. Yearbook issues (103) of Everett Echo, from September 1930 to June 1995, were added to the library’s catalog.

    Administrative History

    Everett Junior High School, now known as Everett Middle School is a public school located at the border of the Castro and Mission districts in San Francisco.
